The Kaspar Companies
What Does Our History, and Who We Are, Mean for You?

"Small town" and family values and principals are at the backbone of our business.  Integrity, respect, and honor are at the core of who we are, being a family-owned business (owned and operated by 3rd and 4th generation Kaspar family).  Yet modern materials, controls technology, design and construction techniques are employed to ensure state-of-the-art components and systems.

We use our own technology on our own factory's waste water.  That's where we started.  Because we are users of our own systems, they are built with the end user in mind. Our desire for a system that is reliable, easy to operate and easy to service led to innovative design. Years of operating the system have led to many design adjustments that installers, operators and maintenance personnel can truly appreciate.

Being a Kaspar company means that our systems are backed up by a 100-plus year-old company with the resources to ensure that we will be here in the future when you need us.

We appreciate your interest in KASELCO as a supplier of advanced electrocoagulation wastewater treatment technology. We’re sure you want to be certain that the system you select is from a company who is viable, provides good equipment, has a sound reputation and can support the products they sell.

Our company was founded in 1898, making it 110 years old. The original business, Kaspar Wire Works, produced wire baskets and other products for agricultural work. Four generations later, we are a multi-industry manufacturing company developing modern technology and utilizing state-of-the-art manufacturing tools -- while adhering to our good family values and enduring business ethics.

Here is a corporate overview: Our main plant is in Shiner, Texas. We reside on about 35 acres, with 600,000 square feet of buildings here. We have more than 700 employees here and in a couple other cities.

We have seven businesses that are each offshoots of our primary manufacturing operations over the years:

  • Kaspar Wire Works, our original company, still manufactures a wide variety of custom steel wire, sheet, and tubing products from French-fry baskets to school desks.

  • Sho-Rack is the world’s largest manufacturer of newspaper vending machines (look at the placard on the back of a newspaper machine – 85% of them are from our plant in Shiner, Texas).

  • Ranch Hand Truck Accessories: After-market bumpers and other pickup truck accessories. It is growing so fast we had to buy another manufacturing facility in a neighboring town and we are constructing another plant on our main property.

  • Kaspar Electroplating Company: Five plating lines. One of the largest plating operations in the southwest U.S. We plate a variety of metals on our own parts, and serve many manufacturing companies across North America.

  • Kaspar Die and Tool: Of course they make all our own tooling, but also do machining as a job shop.

  • Kaspar Custom Fab: Using the many skills and equipment here, this company does batch production manufacturing and custom fabricating of parts ranging from Army tank pieces to gas turbine silencers.

  • Kaselco: Born of a desire to save money and to ensure environmental compliance in our own manufacturing and plating operations, we developed KASELCO Electrocoagulation Wastewater Treatment Technology. KASELCO now has a sister operation in Beijing, China, and enjoys a worldwide reputation as a leader in industrial wastewater treatment using the science of electrochemistry.
